I’m Phoebe (Phoebe Ann Dodd), the designer behind Designs PAD. - Think my parents knew I’d have a passion for designing with that acronym!

I’ve always had a passion for art but didn’t know where I sat within the industry. I attended University for Creative and Therapeutic Arts, which involved creating sessions for the community to make art accessible for all. Creating sessions for children with Autism and Special needs, as well as creating groups for adults with dementia and mental health issues. This really opened my eyes to how being creative can impact on peoples mental health and give them a sense of expression and a voice where many don’t.

Finishing my degree and lockdown approached us, I decided to continue doing what helped many through my sessions at University, creating! I set up an instagram and started creating commissions and prints, developing my adobe skills and investing my time in online course.

I then started applying for apprenticeships in Content Creation. Working at an eCommerce agency allowed me to work across a variety of projects, from branding, elements of UX/UI design, wire framing, social media content and digital assets. I’ve developed confidence in creating and using a brief to translate a clients ideas and presenting campaigns and ideas back to the team to gain valuable feedback.

I have since been working as a freelancer to gain further experience. Working with small businesses to elevate their social media through strategy and branding, providing them with digital assets and stationary.

I have also been volunteering at an athletics clubs to help build a community and increase engagement. I have been developing brand guidelines which are slowly being introduced and engaging with the community to identify what that want to see from the club!
